This is part of a series of posts and it is probably helpful if you have done them in order. I have created a page on niche selection that lists them in order. You can access by clicking the niche selection link in the header.

If you have been following this series you are almost ready to start your business whether you use a blog or website. Just one final step and the real fun starts.

You now have your topic and have developed your initial keyword list. It is time to find products to sell and promote with your new web business.

There are lots of affiliate programs available and you can probably find one for almost any product you would like to sell. Here are just a few of the major ones.

There are many more. Just go back to our old friend Google and type in affiliate networks and you will be amazed at how many there are.

Sometimes the sheer volume can stop you from taking action. Lets do a bit more research and get a better idea of what people are selling in your area of interest. Google your top 10 keywords and visit the top listed sites for each of them. Look at where they are referring visitors or what products they have created presell articles to promote.

If you do a bit of searching at some of the sites you are going to through this exercise look for links (usually in or under the footer) that say affiliate, publisher or some such term. Following this will usually show you how to sign up for their affiliate program.

***CAVEAT - Make sure it is a product that you are comfortable promoting. Usually I will do a Google search for product name scam to see if it is something that is having bad press especially if it is a business I have never heard of.

Obviously this series could be greatly expanded and as you continue you will learn how to do a bit more intensive research when you are creating a niche but using these basic tips will give you a much greater chance of success in your ventures.

If this series has helped you please leave a comment and lt us know.
