This is part of a series of posts and it is probably helpful if you have done them in order. I have created a page on niche selection that lists them in order. You can access by clicking the niche selection link in the header.
Well a quick summary.
1. You made 3 lists
2. You found 3 to 5 areas of interest
3. You checked Google to see what kind of competition there is for the topic.
Today we want to start checking to see if there is money to be made in these areas. We’ll start by going back to Google and doing a quick search on our topic.
Look at the right hand side of the search page and you will see the sponsored ads.

This show you that people are spending money to advertise to this topic. Now for a sneaky trick to see just how many people are searching.
Go to the top box and click on advanced search.

Click the drop down box and set it for 100 results and click Google Search.

This will show you more Google Ads. If there are more than show you will see a little link called more sponsored links. The more advertisers you find the more likely it is that there is money to be made in that topic.
Now if you have searched your terms and you see only three or less ads it probably is time to go to your next topic. If there are lots of ads lets continue on the topic.
Next time we will look for keywords and related topics so we can pinpoint where we want to go.
