The Value of Information Products

Information products are — and will continue to be — one of the most valuable commodities anywhere.

Why?

Three main reasons that I can think of off the top of my head:

1. Time savings
2. Focus
3. Reference resource

Time Savings

The Internet is kind of like a growing sea, getting bigger and bigger all the time. More pages and more people continue to flood the Internet with ideas, opinions, strategies, techniques, etc.

Trying to find information — especially quality information — about a particular subject can be a very time consuming task. And if you value your time…

Focus

Information products can provide focused information about a particular topic or subject in one concentrated package, as opposed to being scattered all over the Internet.

Reference resource

Information products can also serve as reference resources that can be reviewed over and over again.

Here’s where amplification marketing really comes into play…

I can think of very few information products that couldn’t use some kind of “amplification” from another source who could provide:

1. More detail and explaination
2. Different applications of the same techniques or information
3. Personal experiences associated with the subject or topic

Just a few ideas here.

So, if you are struggling to develop your own information product…

You may want to consider “amplifying” an existing information product. The possibilities are endless.

Cheers,
Steve Roye
